What is scrum poker?
Scrum poker, also called planning poker, is a way for agile teams to estimate work together. Everyone picks a card for the same story at the same time, so nobody gets anchored by the loudest voice in the room. When the votes are revealed, big differences become the start of a useful conversation.
It works because the estimate matters less than the discussion. If one person votes 2 and another votes 13, they have read the story very differently, and it is better to find that out now than mid sprint.
